BOTOX injection treatments are relatively quick and comfortable, and require no downtime or recovery period. Dr. Shovlin will first determine the precise injection sites for your specific condition. He then uses a very fine needle to inject the BOTOX, which results in minimal swelling or inflammation. A cool compress applied for a few minutes typically eliminates any telltale signs of BOTOX injection.
Recovery and Results
Patients typically return right away to work or normal daily activities. Unlike injectable fillers, BOTOX results do not appear immediately, but emerge over the course of 5 to 7 days.
