Outlook Eyecare is proud to have her as a part of our exceptional team of professionals.

Education and Experience

Dr. Margaret Ritterbusch graduated magna cum laude from Georgian Court University with a degree in chemistry. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, graduating with honors in contact lens care. Dedicated to helping you find the most comfortable contact lenses for optimal vision correction and eye health, she has been meeting the low vision needs of our community for over 15 years. Patients who visit her for comprehensive eye exams have the added convenience of having prescription lenses filled in our on-site optical shop.

A Dedicated Professional

Dr. Ritterbusch has been published in the New England Journal of Optometry and has served as principle investigator for several FDA studies. She pursues opportunities for advanced training that provide direct benefits for her patients. She has attended:

  • Global Specialty Lens Symposium, which focused on the latest techniques to successfully manage ocular conditions using specialty contact lenses that Dr. Ritterbusch has incorporated into our practice. This includes lenses to treat severe astigmatism and lenses used in cases where traditional lenses are ineffective.
  • Vision by Design, a conference that led to Outlook Eyecare offering of a revolutionary non-surgical procedure called orthokeratology, in which patients are fit with specialty gas permeable lenses that are worn while sleeping to gently reshape the eye and correct myopia.
  • 2014 Winter Education Series, which included sessions addressing specialty tint eyeglasses designed for difficulties associated with concussion injuries.

An Advocate

Dr. Ritterbusch is a member of the New Jersey Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She remains an active advocate for the visually impaired of New Jersey and is a panel member of the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
